
The publication date for the last book, regarding the adventures of Harry Potter, the kid wizard was finally announced on 1st February. J. K. Rowling on her official website gave it as July 21. The book is named ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’. Harry Potter made J. K. Rowling a celebrity. The ‘Potter’ books have been an immense success. Around 325 million copies have been sold worldwide. And, believe it or not, they have been translated into 64 languages. The last edition of Harry Potter series ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ sold around 2,009,574 copies on the releasing day in Britain itself.

Her British publisher, Bloomsbury, would offer a children’s hardback edition, an adult hardback, a special gift edition and an audio book. You can grab them all on the same day. Scholastic Children’s Books, the U.S. publisher, would print a hardback edition, a deluxe edition and a reinforced library edition. The suggested retail prices of these are $34.99, $65.00 and $39.99.
This year also holds as the 10th anniversary of the publication of the first “Harry Potter” book in the series. J.K. Rowling says that the seventh book is very closely related to ‘Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince.’ As per say, they appear as two halves of the same book. It’s noteworthy here, that when Bloomsbury announced its publication, the company shares jumped by 2.2 percent.
